Always keen to stretch out my sound (and never one to say no to “hey can you do a remix?”), here’s a track I did based off of Sawako’s field recordings. This is informed heavily by my work on Park<\/em> (forthcoming on Install<\/a>), where I incorporated field recordings as a major material element in the music; with field recordings, synthesizer, processes and treatments occuring in the same acoustic space, each containing elements of the others’ acoustic qualities. A clear, three dimensional, but intimate sound.<\/p>\n

After the first installment of this remix<\/a> concept, we put out an open call for submissions for Volume 2. Though we received many skilled submissions, the following eight versions were organized into the finished set. As with the first volume, there is a range of approaches and results which arise from working with Sawako’s Summer Tour sounds, and these were put together for their individual strengths, which play off each other as parts of the whole.
